Emergency Services Personnel/Ambulance On Site During Event Needed?

Emergency Services Personnel are required for live animal events (such as rodeos), athletic events (such as roller derby bouts), and certain other events. Please contact SMEC Administration at 828-400-1704 for more information if needed.

All events serving alcohol must provide an alcohol permit from North Carolina ABC Commission. Permits can be obtained at: https://abc.nc.gov/permits-audit/general-permit-

Additionally, SMEC and State Law require that security personnel be on site at a rate of 1 per 125 guests. The cost of security shall be at the expense of the rental client.

Will your event include amplified sound?

Smoky Mountain Event Center requires sound monitoring personnel to be on site for any events which include amplified sound, at the expense of the rental client. Please call SMEC for more information at (828) 400-1704.
